Co-Impact sourcing could also be described with the following objective: A bottle of oil should have a positive impact on both sides. We love to think that when we drop a drop of oil from the bottle into our hand, that not only we get to benefit from this wonderful dōTERRA essential oil, but that many people get to have a positive impact on their lives in the growing, harvesting and extraction of the essential oil. This is enormously powerful and uplifting. Below you can find out in more detail how exactly dōTERRA does this.

What is Co-Impact Sourcing?

When searching for sources of essential oils,
dōTERRA aims to source only the best and help where it is needed. They work with local farmers to ensure fair and timely payments. This way, customers get essential oils of the highest quality and partners get steady jobs. Win-Win!

Co-Impact Sourcing aims to build long-term, mutually beneficial supplier partnerships, create sustainable jobs and generate reliable revenue in underdeveloped areas of the world.

In addition to supplying the highest quality essential oils, doTERRA is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of farmers, harvesters and distillers who contribute to doTERRA’s oil production

doTERRA sources its oils from over 45 countries, more than half of which could be considered developing countries. To ensure that smallholder farmers and harvesters in disadvantaged areas are treated ethically, doTERRA has introduced an initiative called Co-Impact Sourcing.

Co-Impact Sourcing aims to build long-term, mutually beneficial supplier partnerships while creating sustainable jobs and generating reliable income in underdeveloped areas. doTERRA is committed to the ethical treatment of its suppliers through timely payments at fair prices. Growers and harvesters are encouraged to form cooperative groups to share collective benefits and bargaining power while improving skills and capacity.
